Tipton County 911 is responsible for the issuing of all street address numbers when no number has been issued. The process for receiving an address varies depending on what Planning Region your property falls in.

To determine your Planning Region, click here and use the search function to find your address. Click on the shaded blue area and look for the specific region that your address falls in.

If your property is in the Covington Planning Region: Contact the City of Covington Code Compliance Office at 901-476-7191.

If your property is in the Brighton Planning Region: Contact the Town of Brighton Building/Codes Department at 901-476-8661.

If your property is in the Munford Planning Region: Contact the City of Munford Planning and Zoning Department at 901-837-5971.

If your property is in the Atoka Planning Region: Contact the Town of Atoka Planning and Inspection Department at 901-837-5300.

If your property is in the Burlison, Garland, Gilt Edge, or County Planning Regions:

For new construction, first, obtain a building permit for your property from the Tipton County Planning and Development Office at 901-476-0255. Once you have been issued a Building Permit, contact the Tipton County e911 Addressing Office at 901-476-0252, option 1.

For existing construction, contact the Tipton County e911 Addressing Office at 901-476-0252, option 1.

Tipton County e911 does not address temporary structures, such as campers, RV’s, or other non-fixed structures.
